The LGBT+ staff association is a self-governing and voluntary association for LGBT+ employees and allies working in the Municipality of Copenhagen.
The purpose of the association is to provide a safe space where members can share dilemmas, challenges, and work experiences that are specific to LGBT+ persons.
The association also identifies LGBT+ issues of relevance for staff and communicates them to the Equality Unit and relevant representatives of municipal management.
The association aims to build dialogue with leadership and contribute to the city’s broader equality agenda. Community-building is at the heart of the LGBT+ Staff Association. Members are invited to participate in social gatherings, cultural events, debates, excursions, and lectures. In this way, the association contributes to making the Municipality of Copenhagen a more inclusive and supportive workplace for LGBT+ persons.
