Report IT Always (RITA) started as a campaign to promote reporting of LGBT+ related hate crimes during Pride 2024. RITA was founded by a commercial talent agency for LGBTQI+ performers, and is supported by the municipality of Amsterdam. The use of targeted campaigns and the possibility to report to an organisation from within the community has led to a large increase in reporting of lgbtqi+ related hate crime. RITA collaborates with the official Discrimination Reporting Center for the Amsterdam Region, which investigates and follows up on reported incidents. In October of 2025, RITA will open a physical space, which is to be a community center, and provide education and training aimed at preventing hate crimes.
