The Queer Youth Panel was established following the research project “Nothing Without Us” conducted by The Hague University of Applied Sciences and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. One of the key findings of this research is that trans youth often face obstacles in accessing healthcare, both due to negative experiences with healthcare professionals and a general lack of knowledge and understanding of gender diversity within the healthcare system.

The Queer Youth Panel has developed a workshop aimed at helping professionals in the social welfare, healthcare, and youth care sectors become more aware of their own gender identity and how they interact with queer youth. Through interactive methods, participants gain knowledge and practical tools to act in a more queer-sensitive manner.
