New Taipei City is deeply committed to nurturing an inclusive and understanding community, and a cornerstone of this effort is the New Taipei Pride Month in June. The Social Welfare Department, along with TAPCPR (Taiwan Alliance to Promote Civil Partnership Rights), organized a compelling photography exhibition showcasing transgender experiences and the vibrant array of diverse gender identity flags. Located on the 25th floor of New Taipei City Hall, the Pride Month Photo Exhibition features eight works on personal LGBTQ+ experiences. Citizens are invited to share photos and messages to support diverse genders on the event’s Facebook page, allowing love and understanding to permeate every corner of New Taipei City. These collective efforts during Pride Month underscore New Taipei City’s dedication to creating a truly family-friendly environment where understanding flourishes and acceptance is paramount for all.
