The purpose of the certificate LGBT friendly is primarily to raise awareness among people. The aim is that within the working environment and externally to the customers to create a climate that is favourable to all.

The certificate is awarded to all public and private organisations that complete the education (a 4-hour seminar for management staff) and share knowledge among their co-workers. In November, the Mayor of Ljubljana will award the LGBT-friendly certificate to  5 various public and private organisations. Now we have 70 certificate holders (among them are schools, kindergartens, universities, public institutes, etc.).
