As an outcome of the new safety strategy a network was set up for staff of community centres and services who come together several times per year for updates on the security situation and to discuss safety.

Existing safety measures were evaluated with the support of the local police, funding was provided and new safety measures were installed in buildings.

The new network also held sessions with input by experts on latest developments in anti -LGBTIQ* groups as well as antisemitism. There will be further training about antisemitism and racism.

We are also setting up a safety network for commercial LGBTIQ* venues like clubs, shops and cafes. In a first meeting we want to learn about needs and experiences to identify steps to improve safety for businesses and their customers..

A third safety network will be established for employees of the City of Munich who work in the field of diversity, gender equality and LGBTIQ* anti-discrimination as some of them are facing threats and harassment.
