The Giessen city administration is also addressing these questions. It sees diversity in society as an enrichment, a resource, and a normality, and wants to promote it in all its dimensions. To this end, it has developed a variety of approaches, which it has bundled under the common label “Diverse City” and wants to make visible. In May and June 2024, there were exhibitions, movies, workshops, readings, and an action day at City Hall to raise awareness of diversity and invite people to think and get involved.
